Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find the schedule?
Your player should check Band for the most up-to-date schedule. Parents will receive a weekly email from the FGIC with any schedule changes on Sundays. Key dates and upcoming events are kept current on the website under the Parents tab.
What do the schedule labels mean?
“C Team” = C Team only. “Varsity” = Varsity only. If no label = for everyone.
When do I pick up my player?
Don’t wait at the high school after practice. Have your player text or call you when they’re ready — otherwise you may wait a while. Players typically wait together until pickup.
When are games?
C Team games are on Wednesdays, JV games are usually on Mondays and Varsity games are on either Friday nights or Saturday afternoons. All players are expected to report to Varsity games (wear your game jersey to get in free; help as ball boys, with iPads, water, etc.). Games typically last 2½–3 hours. Come watch and support!
What is a Team Dinner?
Team Dinners happen the night before a Varsity game. Everyone eats together; allergies and accommodations are handled. Team Dinners are paid for by the FGIC budget (your membership dues support these). They’re a favorite part of the week for both volunteers (It takes a small army), coaches and boys to get some bonding time in with a good meal.
What should C Team do at Varsity games?
C Team should attend wearing their jersey — it grants free entry.
Where do parents sit at games?
At Pop Keeney, parents sit together on the side next to the student section (closer to the scoreboard).
What if my player is hurt?
Players should see the athletic trainer (Sarah Carlson) 20 minutes before practice. She will assess and advise. If parent involvement is needed, she will contact you.
What is a Player Pack?
Ordered in the spring so your player has required items for practices and game days. Consider buying extra items for alternate practice & spirit wear.
What is CWU?
CWU is the team camp at Central Washington University, usually a weekend in June (3 full days, 2 nights). It’s an overnight camp—coaches assign dorm roommates. Players receive a packing list; snacks, hydration, and meals are provided. Activities include scrimmages against other schools, film review, and team-bonding events. It’s a season highlight for many.
What is Gervis 7-on-7?
A scrimmage-style event, often versus another school run by a trainer named Steve Gervis that the FGIC has partnered with to get our athletes some more training opportunities in the off season. Most useful for offensive positions but all players participate and should attend.
What is July Mini Camp?
July Mini Camp is one of the first opportunities for coaches to evaluate the team with longer practices. It usually coincides with a Jr. Football camp we host for younger Jr. Falcon athletes. Please adjust your summer plans to make sure that you are able to attend mini camp.

What is Friday Night Lights?
A community scrimmage event (usually the Friday before school) where the Woodinville team plays, junior football pairs with high school buddies, cheer leads the crowd — a fun kickoff night for the season.
